A museum showcasing the avant-garde art of Armenian artist Yervand Kochar.
The Yervand Kochar Museum is dedicated to the life and work of Armenian painter and sculptor Yervand Kochar (1899–1979), a pioneer of 20th-century avant-garde art. Located in his former studio on Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan, the museum displays paintings, drawings, sculptures, archival documents, and works from his Tbilisi, Paris, and Yerevan periods. Visitors can also explore Kochar’s innovative “Painting in Space” technique, which combines painting and sculpture to create a distinctive sense of movement and dimension.
