Letters to Strangers is a private writing ritual in the heart of Yerevan — a city that has been writing the impossible for centuries. Armenian genocide survivors wrote to family they'd never see again. Poets wrote in secret during Soviet rule. Lovers wrote across diaspora distances spanning continents and decades.
They wrote because some things must be said — even if nobody receives them. Your session begins with Armenian tea and silence. A deliberate slowing down before anything is asked of you. Your facilitator shares the story of letters in Armenian culture — not as a history lesson, but as an invitation. When you understand what Armenians have written through, your own letter feels possible.
Then you write.
Forty uninterrupted minutes with handmade Armenian paper, a pen that makes every word feel deliberate. Nobody reads what you write. No rules about length, language, or form. Just — the truth, finally, on paper.
When you finish, you choose what happens next:
Send it — Real Armenian stamps. Posted that day. Anywhere in the world. Seal it — Wax sealed, date stamped. Open it when you're ready. Release it — Take it outside. Light it. Watch it go. Bury it — In Armenian soil. Leave it behind in this city.
The choice is yours alone. Your facilitator won't ask which you chose. You leave with a small kit — handmade paper, a wax seal, and a single Armenian word chosen personally for you. And whatever you needed to leave behind.

Sessions welcome individuals or pairs — maximum 2 guests, never combined with other bookings. No writing experience needed, only honesty. Both indoor and outdoor settings are available depending on season and preference. If you'd like to send your letter by post, bring the address. Everything else is provided. Come as you are.
